N.C. Metro Moves up Three Spots on Milken Institute List
The Raleigh-Cary area is one of the nation’s best cities for business growth, according to the Milken Institute. The nonpartisan, independent think tank ranked Raleigh-Cary #7 on its 2010 Best-Performing City list, up from #10 in 2009.
Fayetteville rose to #18 from #31 last year due primarily to a growing military presence and high-tech industry.
Milken grades 379 metro areas according to their ability to create and maintain jobs. The scoring system includes both one-year and five-year measurements of growth in employment, salary and technology output.
Forbes recently ranked North Carolina #3 Best State for Business.
